SEASON 2024

WEEK 3

Week HighOkashah155.9
Week LowZaid83.8
THE WEEKLY REPORT: twelve teams, six games, zero accountability.

Okashah annihilated Omar A. by 56.6, a score differential normally reserved for scrimmages against air. Mustafa put 146.1 on Issa in a 50.4-point mugging that should interest law enforcement. Tarick hung 143.7 on Karim and never looked back, winning by 47.8 in the week's designated execution. Adel hung 129.0 on Omar H. and never looked back, winning by 38.4 in the week's designated execution. Adil beat Ahmad 144.9-119.2, and the less said about the loser's flex spot, the kinder. Yousef survived Zaid by 0.3, and both benches deserve subpoenas over it.

Okashah dropped a league-best 155.9, which buys exactly one week of trash talk credit. And at the bottom, Zaid posted 83.8. The bye weeks were visible from space and the lineup stayed put.

Okashah lost 2 waiver claims this week, which takes a special commitment to being second.

Championship watch: Okashah keeps stacking points. Sacko watch: Zaid. No further questions.

THIS WEEK IN LEAGUE HISTORY: Week 3 of 2023: Omar H. beat Adel by 30.5, a beating the tape still uses as training material.

Same time next week, unless the commissioner finally has this booth silenced.

Karim
(Hock Tua)
95.9@143.7
Tarick
(Shia Killer)
Pregame · The Booth

Another week, another chance for these two to embarrass their draft boards. Shia Killer (1-1) versus Hock Tua (1-1). Vegas calls this a pick'em. I call it mutually assured mediocrity. Let's see whose projections were lies.

Postgame · The Booth

Final score 143.7 to 95.9. Tarick won by 47.8, which in this league is less a victory and more a formal humiliation. Tarick moves to 2-1. A real analyst would call that momentum. I'll call it a stay of execution. As for Karim: 1-2 now. At some point it stops being bad luck and starts being a body of work.

Adel(RIP 💀)
(Be my Jaan Robinson)
129.0@90.6
Omar H.
(The Omar Effect)
Pregame · The Booth

Grab your popcorn. One of these rosters was built by a genius, the other by a group chat dare. Omar (0-2) and Adel (1-1) come in dead even on paper, which is a polite way of saying neither has earned my respect. My prediction? Pain. Beautifully quantifiable pain.

Postgame · The Booth

FINAL: Be my Jaan Robinson 129.0, The Omar Effect 90.6. Workmanlike win for Adel. Nothing pretty about it, but neither is this league. Adel improves to 2-1. Credit where due, and I do mean the bare minimum of credit. As for Omar: 0-3 now. At some point it stops being bad luck and starts being a body of work.

Omar A.
(Ninjer)
99.3@155.9
Okashah
(Mohammad's Dolphins Team)
Pregame · The Booth

Another week, another chance for these two to embarrass their draft boards. Mohammad's Dolphins Team (1-1) versus Ninjer (1-1). Vegas calls this a pick'em. I call it mutually assured mediocrity. My prediction? Pain. Beautifully quantifiable pain.

Postgame · The Booth

Final score 155.9 to 99.3. Okashah won by 56.6, which in this league is less a victory and more a formal humiliation. That 155.9 from Mohammad's Dolphins Team led the entire league this week. Even I have to tip the cap. Briefly. It's back on now. Okashah climbs to 2-1, and for one week, the film room has nothing bad to say. Enjoy the silence. Omar falls to 1-2. The good news: it can't get worse. The bad news: I said that last week too.

Zaid
(Bidet)
83.8@84.1
Yousef
(Pirated CDs)
Pregame · The Booth

You wanted analysis. I brought a scalpel. Yousef (1-1) and Zaid (0-2) come in dead even on paper, which is a polite way of saying neither has earned my respect. Kickoff's coming. Set your lineups, say your prayers.

Postgame · The Booth

FINAL: Pirated CDs survives Bidet, 84.1-83.8. A 0.3-point margin. That's not a win, that's a coin flip with better marketing. 167.9 total points between them. The real loser here was every single person who watched. Zaid's 83.8 was the lowest score in the league this week. The LOWEST. Out of twelve teams. I need everyone to sit with that. Yousef climbs to 2-1, and for one week, the film room has nothing bad to say. Enjoy the silence. Zaid drops to 0-3 and is officially in 'blame the projections' territory.

Ahmad
(Lucy's Finest)
119.2@144.9
Adil
(Omar✅Yousef✅Oak Next)
Pregame · The Booth

Welcome back to the only league where the tape never lies and neither do I. Adil (2-0) and Ahmad (2-0) come in dead even on paper, which is a polite way of saying neither has earned my respect. Let's see whose projections were lies.

Postgame · The Booth

FINAL: Omar✅Yousef✅Oak Next 144.9, Lucy's Finest 119.2. Workmanlike win for Adil. Nothing pretty about it, but neither is this league. Adil improves to 3-0. Credit where due, and I do mean the bare minimum of credit. Ahmad is now 2-1, and the tape suggests that's generous.

Issa
(Shamjesus)
95.7@146.1
Mustafa
(Team Mohammad)
Pregame · The Booth

Grab your popcorn. One of these rosters was built by a genius, the other by a group chat dare. Team Mohammad (2-0) is the clear favorite over Shamjesus (0-2), and if you disagree, congratulations, you must be Issa. Let's see whose projections were lies.

Postgame · The Booth

Final score 146.1 to 95.7. Mustafa won by 50.4, which in this league is less a victory and more a formal humiliation. Mustafa climbs to 3-0, and for one week, the film room has nothing bad to say. Enjoy the silence. Issa drops to 0-3 and is officially in 'blame the projections' territory.
