SEASON 2024

WEEK 14

Week HighYousef181.5
Week LowKarim87.9
THE WEEKLY REPORT: twelve teams, six games, zero accountability.

Yousef annihilated Zaid by 81.3, a score differential normally reserved for scrimmages against air. Issa dispatched Mustafa 123.8-95.0 with the ruthless efficiency of a man deleting spam. Ahmad took care of Adil, 137.8-114.1, workmanlike and forgettable. Tarick outscored Karim 103.5-87.9, a sentence that fully captures the excitement level. Okashah beat Omar A. 159.4-149.3 and nobody will remember it by Thursday. Adel got past Omar H., 154.3-146.4, in a game the tape will file under 'fine, whatever'.

Yousef dropped a league-best 181.5, which buys exactly one week of trash talk credit. And at the bottom, Karim posted 87.9. The bye weeks were visible from space and the lineup stayed put.

In transaction news, Adil and Zaid swung a deal (Tee Higgins, Isaac Guerendo, Deebo Samuel). The booth has graded it and the booth is not kind. Waiver report: Karim whiffed on 4 claims. The early bird got the worm; Karim got the confirmation email of failure.

Championship watch: Ahmad keeps stacking points. Sacko watch: Karim. No further questions.

THIS WEEK IN LEAGUE HISTORY: In 2023, Karim dropped 133.2 on Tarick in this same week — a public execution the league still references.

This has been the report. Someone check on the losers.

Tarick
(Shia Killer)
103.5@87.9
Karim
(Hock Tua)
Pregame · The Booth

You wanted analysis. I brought a scalpel. Karim (5-8) and Tarick (6-7) come in dead even on paper, which is a polite way of saying neither has earned my respect. Karim has dropped 3 in a row, a stretch of football so bleak the league office considered a wellness check. Kickoff's coming. Set your lineups, say your prayers.

Postgame · The Booth

103.5-87.9, Shia Killer over Hock Tua. A professional beating. Not a memorable one, just a thorough one. 191.4 total points between them. The real loser here was every single person who watched. Karim's 87.9 was the lowest score in the league this week. The LOWEST. Out of twelve teams. I need everyone to sit with that. Tarick improves to 7-7. Credit where due, and I do mean the bare minimum of credit. Karim is now 5-9, and the tape suggests that's generous.

Omar H.
(The Omar Effect)
146.4@154.3
Adel(RIP 💀)
(Be my Jaan Robinson)
Pregame · The Booth

Welcome back to the only league where the tape never lies and neither do I. On paper this is a coin flip: Be my Jaan Robinson at 6-7, The Omar Effect at 6-7. On tape, it's two teams praying the other starts the wrong flex. On to the action, where the points are made up and the projections don't matter.

Postgame · The Booth

Be my Jaan Robinson handles business, 154.3-146.4. Omar will tell you it was closer than the score. The score disagrees, and the score was there. 300.7 combined points. Somewhere a defensive coordinator is weeping, and neither of these managers cares. Adel improves to 7-7. Credit where due, and I do mean the bare minimum of credit. Omar drops to 6-8 and is officially in 'blame the projections' territory.

Okashah
(Mohammad's Dolphins Team)
159.4@149.3
Omar A.
(Ninjer)
Pregame · The Booth

Welcome back to the only league where the tape never lies and neither do I. Ninjer (7-6) versus Mohammad's Dolphins Team (7-6). Vegas calls this a pick'em. I call it mutually assured mediocrity. Let's see whose projections were lies.

Postgame · The Booth

FINAL: Mohammad's Dolphins Team 159.4, Ninjer 149.3. Workmanlike win for Okashah. Nothing pretty about it, but neither is this league. A combined 308.7 points in this one. Absolute track meet. Defense is optional in fantasy and both of these teams treated scoring like a personal vendetta. Okashah moves to 8-6. A real analyst would call that momentum. I'll call it a stay of execution. Omar falls to 7-7. The good news: it can't get worse. The bad news: I said that last week too.

Yousef
(Pirated CDs)
181.5@100.2
Zaid
(Bidet)
Pregame · The Booth

Another week, another chance for these two to embarrass their draft boards. The spread on this one is roughly Yousef's ego, which is to say: enormous. 10-3 against 5-8 doesn't lie. Pirated CDs rides a 3-game heater into this one. Regression is undefeated, but sure, enjoy the moment. My prediction? Pain. Beautifully quantifiable pain.

Postgame · The Booth

Pirated CDs 181.5, Bidet 100.2. In the film room we call that a 'teaching tape.' Zaid, you were the lesson. That 181.5 from Pirated CDs led the entire league this week. Even I have to tip the cap. Briefly. It's back on now. Yousef climbs to 11-3, and for one week, the film room has nothing bad to say. Enjoy the silence. Zaid is now 5-9, and the tape suggests that's generous.

Adil
(Omar✅Yousef✅Oak Next)
114.1@137.8
Ahmad
(Lucy's Finest)
Pregame · The Booth

Grab your popcorn. One of these rosters was built by a genius, the other by a group chat dare. Lucy's Finest (8-5) versus Omar✅Yousef✅Oak Next (7-6). Vegas calls this a pick'em. I call it mutually assured mediocrity. Somebody tell the benches to stay warm. They usually outscore the starters around here.

Postgame · The Booth

FINAL: Lucy's Finest 137.8, Omar✅Yousef✅Oak Next 114.1. Workmanlike win for Ahmad. Nothing pretty about it, but neither is this league. Ahmad climbs to 9-5, and for one week, the film room has nothing bad to say. Enjoy the silence. Adil drops to 7-7 and is officially in 'blame the projections' territory.

Mustafa
(Team Mohammad)
95.0@123.8
Issa
(Shamjesus)
Pregame · The Booth

I've broken down the matchups. One of them broke down right back. Shamjesus (5-8) versus Team Mohammad (6-7). Vegas calls this a pick'em. I call it mutually assured mediocrity. Somebody tell the benches to stay warm. They usually outscore the starters around here.

Postgame · The Booth

FINAL: Shamjesus 123.8, Team Mohammad 95.0. Workmanlike win for Issa. Nothing pretty about it, but neither is this league. Issa climbs to 6-8, and for one week, the film room has nothing bad to say. Enjoy the silence. As for Mustafa: 6-8 now. At some point it stops being bad luck and starts being a body of work.
