SEASON 2024

WEEK 10

Week HighAhmad182.8
Week LowAdil80.5
THE WEEKLY REPORT: your weekly reminder that projections are astrology for men.

Ahmad put 182.8 on Omar H. in a 78.5-point mugging that should interest law enforcement. Karim handled Adil, 111.0-80.5, in a game with all the drama of a scheduled oil change. Adel beat Omar A. 139.9-115.7 and nobody will remember it by Thursday. Zaid dispatched Tarick 115.8-98.9 with the ruthless efficiency of a man deleting spam. Issa outscored Okashah 103.1-95.6, a sentence that fully captures the excitement level. Mustafa survived Yousef by 3.1, and both benches deserve subpoenas over it.

Week's best: Ahmad with 182.8. Briefly competent. Mark the calendar. And at the bottom, Adil posted 80.5. The bye weeks were visible from space and the lineup stayed put.

Waiver report: Karim whiffed on 4 claims. The early bird got the worm; Karim got the confirmation email of failure.

Championship watch: Ahmad keeps stacking points. Sacko watch: Issa. No further questions.

THIS WEEK IN LEAGUE HISTORY: In 2023, Yousef dropped 144.6 on Mustafa in this same week — a public execution the league still references.

Same time next week, unless the commissioner finally has this booth silenced.

Adil
(Omar✅Yousef✅Oak Next)
80.5@111.0
Karim
(Hock Tua)
Pregame · The Booth

Welcome back to the only league where the tape never lies and neither do I. Karim (4-5) and Adil (5-4) come in dead even on paper, which is a polite way of saying neither has earned my respect. My prediction? Pain. Beautifully quantifiable pain.

Postgame · The Booth

111.0-80.5, Hock Tua over Omar✅Yousef✅Oak Next. A professional beating. Not a memorable one, just a thorough one. A combined 191.5 points. I've covered scoreless soccer friendlies with more offense. Both lineups should apologize to the sport. Omar✅Yousef✅Oak Next posted 80.5, the league's worst mark of the week. Frame it. Study it. Never speak of it again. Karim improves to 5-5. Credit where due, and I do mean the bare minimum of credit. Adil drops to 5-5 and is officially in 'blame the projections' territory.

Mustafa
(Team Mohammad)
106.3@103.2
Yousef
(Pirated CDs)
Pregame · The Booth

Strap in, folks. Somebody's week is about to be ruined, and I get paid to watch. Pirated CDs has been humming along at 7-2. Team Mohammad is sitting at 4-5 and calling it a rebuilding year. In a redraft league. Think about that. Pirated CDs rides a 3-game heater into this one. Regression is undefeated, but sure, enjoy the moment. Somebody tell the benches to stay warm. They usually outscore the starters around here.

Postgame · The Booth

Team Mohammad escapes 106.3-103.2. Yousef lost by 3.1 points and will now spend the entire week doing lineup autopsy. As they should. And that, friends, is an upset. Mustafa came in at 4-5, looked across at Yousef's 7-2 juggernaut, and simply did not care. Beautiful, chaotic, disrespectful football. Mustafa moves to 5-5. A real analyst would call that momentum. I'll call it a stay of execution. Yousef is now 7-3, and the tape suggests that's generous.

Issa
(Shamjesus)
103.1@95.6
Okashah
(Mohammad's Dolphins Team)
Pregame · The Booth

The film doesn't lie, and unfortunately for one of these teams, I've watched it. Mohammad's Dolphins Team has been humming along at 5-4. Shamjesus is sitting at 2-7 and calling it a rebuilding year. In a redraft league. Think about that. Let's see whose projections were lies.

Postgame · The Booth

103.1-95.6, Shamjesus over Mohammad's Dolphins Team. A professional beating. Not a memorable one, just a thorough one. Upset alert delivered. Shamjesus (2-7) just clipped Mohammad's Dolphins Team (5-4), and I want you to know Okashah absolutely saw this coming and started the wrong guys anyway. Issa climbs to 3-7, and for one week, the film room has nothing bad to say. Enjoy the silence. Okashah falls to 5-5. The good news: it can't get worse. The bad news: I said that last week too.

Ahmad
(Lucy's Finest)
182.8@104.3
Omar H.
(The Omar Effect)
Pregame · The Booth

The film doesn't lie, and unfortunately for one of these teams, I've watched it. Lucy's Finest (6-3) is the clear favorite over The Omar Effect (4-5), and if you disagree, congratulations, you must be Omar. My prediction? Pain. Beautifully quantifiable pain.

Postgame · The Booth

Lucy's Finest hangs 182.8 on The Omar Effect, who answered with 104.3. I've seen preseason walkthroughs with more competitive fire. Ahmad's 182.8 was the top score in the league this week. Enjoy it. Peaks like this are usually followed by cliffs. Ahmad climbs to 7-3, and for one week, the film room has nothing bad to say. Enjoy the silence. As for Omar: 4-6 now. At some point it stops being bad luck and starts being a body of work.

Zaid
(Bidet)
115.8@98.9
Tarick
(Shia Killer)
Pregame · The Booth

Another week, another chance for these two to embarrass their draft boards. Shia Killer has been humming along at 5-4. Bidet is sitting at 3-6 and calling it a rebuilding year. In a redraft league. Think about that. Kickoff's coming. Set your lineups, say your prayers.

Postgame · The Booth

Bidet handles business, 115.8-98.9. Tarick will tell you it was closer than the score. The score disagrees, and the score was there. Upset alert delivered. Bidet (3-6) just clipped Shia Killer (5-4), and I want you to know Tarick absolutely saw this coming and started the wrong guys anyway. Zaid improves to 4-6. Credit where due, and I do mean the bare minimum of credit. Tarick is now 5-5, and the tape suggests that's generous.

Omar A.
(Ninjer)
115.7@139.9
Adel(RIP 💀)
(Be my Jaan Robinson)
Pregame · The Booth

I've broken down the matchups. One of them broke down right back. On paper this is a coin flip: Be my Jaan Robinson at 4-5, Ninjer at 5-4. On tape, it's two teams praying the other starts the wrong flex. Kickoff's coming. Set your lineups, say your prayers.

Postgame · The Booth

139.9-115.7, Be my Jaan Robinson over Ninjer. A professional beating. Not a memorable one, just a thorough one. Adel moves to 5-5. A real analyst would call that momentum. I'll call it a stay of execution. Omar drops to 5-5 and is officially in 'blame the projections' territory.
