SEASON 2024

WEEK 1

Week HighOmar A.150.1
Week LowTarick70.9
THE WEEKLY REPORT: all the carnage, none of the excuses.

Adil annihilated Tarick by 68.4, a score differential normally reserved for scrimmages against air. Okashah hung 146.9 on Karim and never looked back, winning by 51.0 in the week's designated execution. Omar A. handled Issa, 150.1-124.0, in a game with all the drama of a scheduled oil change. Ahmad dispatched Zaid 121.4-104.9 with the ruthless efficiency of a man deleting spam. Yousef took care of Omar H., 131.5-115.9, workmanlike and forgettable. Mustafa edged Adel by 3.3 in a game decided by pocket change and prayer.

Omar A.'s 150.1 led the league this week, and yes, we all have to hear about it. Tarick brought up the rear with 70.9, a number you can achieve by autodrafting and losing your phone.

THIS WEEK IN LEAGUE HISTORY: Week 1 of 2023: Zaid beat Ahmad by 71.1, a beating the tape still uses as training material.

The tape never lies, gentlemen. See you next week.

Karim
(Hock Tua)
95.9@146.9
Okashah
(Mohammad's Dolphins Team)
Pregame · The Booth

I've broken down the matchups. One of them broke down right back. Mohammad's Dolphins Team and Hock Tua open the 2024 campaign with clean records and dirty secrets on their benches. Enjoy the optimism. It won't last. Somebody tell the benches to stay warm. They usually outscore the starters around here.

Postgame · The Booth

Mohammad's Dolphins Team hangs 146.9 on Hock Tua, who answered with 95.9. I've seen preseason walkthroughs with more competitive fire. Okashah moves to 1-0. A real analyst would call that momentum. I'll call it a stay of execution. Karim falls to 0-1. The good news: it can't get worse. The bad news: I said that last week too.

Omar H.
(The Omar Effect)
115.9@131.5
Yousef
(Pirated CDs)
Pregame · The Booth

Welcome back to the only league where the tape never lies and neither do I. Pirated CDs and The Omar Effect open the 2024 campaign with clean records and dirty secrets on their benches. Enjoy the optimism. It won't last. Kickoff's coming. Set your lineups, say your prayers.

Postgame · The Booth

131.5-115.9, Pirated CDs over The Omar Effect. A professional beating. Not a memorable one, just a thorough one. Yousef improves to 1-0. Credit where due, and I do mean the bare minimum of credit. Omar falls to 0-1. The good news: it can't get worse. The bad news: I said that last week too.

Tarick
(Shia Killer)
70.9@139.3
Adil
(Omar✅Yousef✅Oak Next)
Pregame · The Booth

Strap in, folks. Somebody's week is about to be ruined, and I get paid to watch. Omar✅Yousef✅Oak Next and Shia Killer open the 2024 campaign with clean records and dirty secrets on their benches. Enjoy the optimism. It won't last. Kickoff's coming. Set your lineups, say your prayers.

Postgame · The Booth

Omar✅Yousef✅Oak Next hangs 139.3 on Shia Killer, who answered with 70.9. I've seen preseason walkthroughs with more competitive fire. Shia Killer posted 70.9, the league's worst mark of the week. Frame it. Study it. Never speak of it again. Adil moves to 1-0. A real analyst would call that momentum. I'll call it a stay of execution. Tarick is now 0-1, and the tape suggests that's generous.

Adel(RIP 💀)
(Be my Jaan Robinson)
107.3@110.6
Mustafa
(Team Mohammad)
Pregame · The Booth

The film doesn't lie, and unfortunately for one of these teams, I've watched it. Team Mohammad and Be my Jaan Robinson open the 2024 campaign with clean records and dirty secrets on their benches. Enjoy the optimism. It won't last. Let's see whose projections were lies.

Postgame · The Booth

Team Mohammad escapes 110.6-107.3. Adel lost by 3.3 points and will now spend the entire week doing lineup autopsy. As they should. Mustafa improves to 1-0. Credit where due, and I do mean the bare minimum of credit. Adel falls to 0-1. The good news: it can't get worse. The bad news: I said that last week too.

Omar A.
(Ninjer)
150.1@124.0
Issa
(Shamjesus)
Pregame · The Booth

I've broken down the matchups. One of them broke down right back. Shamjesus and Ninjer open the 2024 campaign with clean records and dirty secrets on their benches. Enjoy the optimism. It won't last. Let's see whose projections were lies.

Postgame · The Booth

FINAL: Ninjer 150.1, Shamjesus 124.0. Workmanlike win for Omar. Nothing pretty about it, but neither is this league. Omar's 150.1 was the top score in the league this week. Enjoy it. Peaks like this are usually followed by cliffs. Omar moves to 1-0. A real analyst would call that momentum. I'll call it a stay of execution. As for Issa: 0-1 now. At some point it stops being bad luck and starts being a body of work.

Zaid
(Bidet)
104.9@121.4
Ahmad
(Lucy's Finest)
Pregame · The Booth

The film doesn't lie, and unfortunately for one of these teams, I've watched it. Lucy's Finest and Bidet open the 2024 campaign with clean records and dirty secrets on their benches. Enjoy the optimism. It won't last. Kickoff's coming. Set your lineups, say your prayers.

Postgame · The Booth

121.4-104.9, Lucy's Finest over Bidet. A professional beating. Not a memorable one, just a thorough one. Ahmad climbs to 1-0, and for one week, the film room has nothing bad to say. Enjoy the silence. Zaid falls to 0-1. The good news: it can't get worse. The bad news: I said that last week too.
