SEASON 2023

WEEK 12

Week HighAdel147.8
Week LowOmar H.93.0
THE WEEKLY REPORT: we watched every lineup. Some of you should be in prison.

Yousef beat Omar H. 124.8-93.0, and the less said about the loser's flex spot, the kinder. Adel outscored Mustafa 147.8-121.6, a sentence that fully captures the excitement level. Issa got past Omar A., 136.9-112.9, in a game the tape will file under 'fine, whatever'. Adil took care of Tarick, 132.1-112.8, workmanlike and forgettable. Zaid survived Ahmad by 3.6, and both benches deserve subpoenas over it. Hamed edged Karim by 1.1 in a game decided by pocket change and prayer.

Adel dropped a league-best 147.8, which buys exactly one week of trash talk credit. Omar H. brought up the rear with 93.0, a number you can achieve by autodrafting and losing your phone.

Championship watch: Yousef keeps stacking points. Sacko watch: Tarick. No further questions.

Set your lineups. Or don't. It's clearly optional for some of you.

Hamed(RIP 💀)
(fantasy sucks)
121.9@120.8
Karim
(Abu Jabal)
Pregame · The Booth

You wanted analysis. I brought a scalpel. Karim (6-5) and Hamed (5-6) come in dead even on paper, which is a polite way of saying neither has earned my respect. Somebody tell the benches to stay warm. They usually outscore the starters around here.

Postgame · The Booth

fantasy sucks escapes 121.9-120.8. Karim lost by 1.1 points and will now spend the entire week doing lineup autopsy. As they should. Hamed moves to 6-6. A real analyst would call that momentum. I'll call it a stay of execution. Karim falls to 6-6. The good news: it can't get worse. The bad news: I said that last week too.

Yousef
(McCafre)
124.8@93.0
Omar H.
(Omar’s B*tches)
Pregame · The Booth

Grab your popcorn. One of these rosters was built by a genius, the other by a group chat dare. McCafre (8-3) is the clear favorite over Omar’s B*tches (5-6), and if you disagree, congratulations, you must be Omar. Let's see whose projections were lies.

Postgame · The Booth

124.8-93.0, McCafre over Omar’s B*tches. A professional beating. Not a memorable one, just a thorough one. Omar's 93.0 was the lowest score in the league this week. The LOWEST. Out of twelve teams. I need everyone to sit with that. Yousef moves to 9-3. A real analyst would call that momentum. I'll call it a stay of execution. As for Omar: 5-7 now. At some point it stops being bad luck and starts being a body of work.

Adil
(Dilmeisters)
132.1@112.8
Tarick
(Balls Deep)
Pregame · The Booth

Another week, another chance for these two to embarrass their draft boards. Adil rolls in at 8-3 while Tarick is dragging a 2-9 record behind them like a busted trailer hitch. The metrics say mismatch. The metrics are being polite. Kickoff's coming. Set your lineups, say your prayers.

Postgame · The Booth

Dilmeisters handles business, 132.1-112.8. Tarick will tell you it was closer than the score. The score disagrees, and the score was there. Adil improves to 9-3. Credit where due, and I do mean the bare minimum of credit. Tarick falls to 2-10. The good news: it can't get worse. The bad news: I said that last week too.

Mustafa
(Team Mohammad)
121.6@147.8
Adel(RIP 💀)
(Be my Jaan Robinson)
Pregame · The Booth

The film doesn't lie, and unfortunately for one of these teams, I've watched it. Be my Jaan Robinson (5-6) versus Team Mohammad (6-5). Vegas calls this a pick'em. I call it mutually assured mediocrity. Be my Jaan Robinson rides a 5-game heater into this one. Regression is undefeated, but sure, enjoy the moment. Somebody tell the benches to stay warm. They usually outscore the starters around here.

Postgame · The Booth

Be my Jaan Robinson handles business, 147.8-121.6. Mustafa will tell you it was closer than the score. The score disagrees, and the score was there. That 147.8 from Be my Jaan Robinson led the entire league this week. Even I have to tip the cap. Briefly. It's back on now. Adel improves to 6-6. Credit where due, and I do mean the bare minimum of credit. Mustafa drops to 6-6 and is officially in 'blame the projections' territory.

Issa
(Shamjesus)
136.9@112.9
Omar A.
(Ninjer)
Pregame · The Booth

Another week, another chance for these two to embarrass their draft boards. The spread on this one is roughly Issa's ego, which is to say: enormous. 7-4 against 4-7 doesn't lie. Kickoff's coming. Set your lineups, say your prayers.

Postgame · The Booth

Shamjesus handles business, 136.9-112.9. Omar will tell you it was closer than the score. The score disagrees, and the score was there. Issa moves to 8-4. A real analyst would call that momentum. I'll call it a stay of execution. Omar drops to 4-8 and is officially in 'blame the projections' territory.

Ahmad
(Lucy's Finest)
116.9@120.5
Zaid
(Campaign Papi)
Pregame · The Booth

Grab your popcorn. One of these rosters was built by a genius, the other by a group chat dare. Campaign Papi (7-4) is the clear favorite over Lucy's Finest (3-8), and if you disagree, congratulations, you must be Ahmad. My prediction? Pain. Beautifully quantifiable pain.

Postgame · The Booth

FINAL: Campaign Papi survives Lucy's Finest, 120.5-116.9. A 3.6-point margin. That's not a win, that's a coin flip with better marketing. Zaid moves to 8-4. A real analyst would call that momentum. I'll call it a stay of execution. Ahmad falls to 3-9. The good news: it can't get worse. The bad news: I said that last week too.
